Non-Yeasted Bread Baking
· Have you always wondered if there is an alternative to yeast?
· You want some bread, but don’t want to spend the time?
Well then - this is the course for you!
Much quicker to make and bake than yeasted breads, these traditional recipes avoid the use of bakers yeast. In this practical course you will learn how to make a variety of British and Continental breads including Soda breads, griddle farls and bannocks, and flat oven baked breads such as Piadini.
Learn how to use raising agents, and how to make, handle, shape, and bake non yeasted dough, and how to use a variety of stone ground flours. Recipe and tips sheets are provided summarising the techniques we encounter during the day.
The Day will include a 2 course baker’s lunch, refreshments during the day, and a bag of goodies which includes an Apron.
