Pleasant Grounds

The beautiful grounds surrounding the windmill feature

mature trees and gardens together with well-kept lawns

and driveway lined with lavender. The peaceful setting

makes it an ideal spot for a quiet afternoon picnic, or a 

morning coffee.

Our Tea Room extends into the grounds during the 

warmer weather, and our delicious cakes and produce 

can be enjoyed on a picnic bench watching the butterflies

and listening to the bumblebees working on the lavenders.

Whilst our grounds are not designed for letting children play

unsupervised, many families have enjoyed their stay playing

with our dog, watching the sheep, or play a game of tag.

Please note that Tuxford Windmill is privately owned

and should you wish to have your own picnic/party/gathering,

it must be booked and agreed in writing ahead of time.
